My friend Kevin recently shared an article about SPARC by Robin Lewis. This article highlights the perils of underestimating the skills and experience necessary to build successful retail businesses. It focuses on Simon Property Authentic Brands Retail Concepts co-owning and leasing spaces to many of the “stale and losing brands in the Authentic Brands portfolio”. He points out that in this increasingly technology focused landscape, retailers must keep up with the pace.
